I am quite let down. I made an online booking to get rid of a skin tag. The website indicated a price of £218, which I was content to pay. My appointment lasted around 10 minutes, and the surgeon was amiable and did a commendable job. Post-appointment, I was astounded to be billed £420. I was informed that there was an additional £180 consultation fee on top of the surgery charge. Even with this extra fee, the total exceeded what was initially stated on the website. The website, booking process, pre-appointment emails, and arrival instructions did not clearly mention the need to pay a consultation fee in addition to the surgery cost, which turned out to be higher than advertised. It's quite shocking considering I only conversed with the surgeon for about 2 minutes before the surgery, for which I was charged £180. The total price was never confirmed to me, so I assumed it aligned with the website advertisement. Upon disputing this during payment, I was informed that the website was inaccurate. They did reduce the overall bill by £70, but I still ended up paying £132 more than anticipated. Transparency regarding costs should be established prior to proceeding with treatment. I perceive this as sly and deceitful. I won't be returning.
I recently finished a series of eight laser treatments at Sk:n Clapham. The staff were welcoming and professional, especially Charlene, who conducted most of my sessions. She was extremely friendly and employed fantastic techniques to guide me through each session. I am extremely pleased with the results and would certainly consider returning for other treatments.
