Re-styling with Emma, what a fantastic experience. I've had super long hair for nearly half a century. I trusted Emma's consultation, cut, and blow-dry, and it was truly amazing. I feel and look so much younger!
I underwent a colour consultation with Emma. Having dyed my hair at home over the years, it had become too dark. Emma was delightful and suggested a toner, foils, an all-over colour, along with a cut and blow-dry, costing £154. It took over 3 weeks to secure an appointment with her. On the day, I spent over 4 hours in the salon. While the back of the salon was quite dim, my hair looked stunning! I adored the colour and cut as it made my hair appear fresher with more movement. However, in daylight, I noticed my hair was orange with hints of yellow and pink. I contacted the salon, and they were helpful, asking me to come in so they could assist. Nicholas suggested an ash dark brown shade to counter the orange tones. Despite my initial reluctance to end up with the same colour as before, he assured me it wouldn't happen. Following a hair wash with a dark ash colour and a prolonged massage at the sink, I saw my hair had returned to dark brown, the same as when I arrived the previous week. The blow-drying process was prolonged as the junior stylist struggled with hair clips and sections. After spending 6 hours and £154, making four trips from Bangor to Belfast, I ended up with a shade only slightly lighter. I had requested light brown with golden tones and highlights, none of which were achieved. Nicholas claimed the colour would wash out as it was not permanent. I found the entire appointment frustrating and left feeling dissatisfied. Despite reaching out to the salon via email and Instagram, I received no response and was subsequently blocked on the latter platform. The lack of customer care, miscommunication, and unsatisfactory results have left me deeply disappointed. The service I received was subpar, and I have not been offered a refund or a follow-up appointment for the desired highlights and permanent colour. What was meant to be a treat turned into a stressful and upsetting experience, leaving me out of pocket and needing to rectify the salon's errors elsewhere. Unacceptable service.
