An exceptional range of products! The only downside to this store is a few of its employees. Unfortunately, there are a couple who are impolite and unhelpful, but apart from that, it's still worth a visit.
I specifically went to purchase multiple packs of lawn edging that were on offer in the clearance sale. Some packs had been opened and the securing spikes were missing. At the checkout, the staff member was incredibly helpful and further reduced the price for the opened packs (without me even having to ask). I also ended up buying other items and, as always in this store, left very satisfied. There's ample parking, including spaces for blue badge holders, which I took advantage of for my disabled companion. An impressive selection of products with well-informed staff. Well done, Homebase.
Purchased a sheet of plywood to have it cut using their "wood cutting service" only to be informed they wouldn't cut it because I didn't buy it there. The store was quiet as it was a Wednesday evening, the man in the wood cutting area was just standing around doing nothing so I thought it would be no issue. He refused to cut it for me, even when I offered to pay extra, and was rude in doing so. I've spent hundreds here this spring on home DIY projects, and they couldn't spare 30 seconds of their time that I was willing to pay for. They shouldn't advertise a wood cutting service online if it's not a service available to customers. I will not shop here again and will get my supplies elsewhere.
