Extremely discourteous staff! I had visited this establishment previously and had a positive experience, which prompted my return. However, on this occasion, I observed that they were severely understaffed, leading them to begin working on another client's nails in the midst of attending to mine. Despite spending a significant amount, there was no acknowledgment or gratitude when I made the payment – the staff member did not even make eye contact while accepting the money. While I comprehend that they may become overwhelmed with clients, I noticed that they displayed a much friendlier attitude towards certain regular patrons. Unfortunately, I felt like an inconvenience during my visit. The quality of the nails was acceptable, although the shaping could have been better.
Appalling... Typically, I do not venture to other salons as I have my trusted local one, but circumstances required me to seek services elsewhere. Clearly explained my desired nail design, yet the outcome bore no resemblance to what I had requested. The process felt rushed, with the technician multitasking by conversing and texting on her phone while attending to my nails, resulting in a substandard shape. Despite repeated attempts to rectify the situation, the final result was unsatisfactory. Having paid £40 for a soak-off and a new set, I found that my previous 5-week-old set looked superior. I had hoped for holiday-ready nails as I had travel plans, but I will now need to have them redone at my local salon, possibly requiring a soak-off due to the poor quality. It appears as if an amateur had practiced on my hands, with acrylic extending beyond the nails and the gel application being uneven and not reaching the edges. Furthermore, the hygiene standards at the Nail Cellar were lacking. It is regrettable, as the establishment has the potential to excel given its prime location. Additionally, be prepared to pay in cash if you wish to waste your money here. I regret not being able to assign a rating of zero. Avoid this place at all costs.
Impolite personnel, demanded payment prior to completion of nail work; only later did I realize the reason behind it. When I requested corrections to their work, they refused, leaving me exiting the salon with a displeasing appearance.
