American Nails

I am disappointed with my experience. I had booked an appointment, but upon arrival, there was no record of it. I understand that bookings without a deposit may not guarantee attendance, but waiting 25 minutes without being acknowledged was frustrating. It was my first time getting my nails done at a non-independent salon, and I found it to be not worth the money. The lack of cuticle work has caused my acrylics to lift prematurely, and I was cut twice, with visible blood that was not addressed properly. While most reviews are positive, my experience was a miss. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

My first experience getting acrylic nails done! The staff were really friendly and I received exactly what I asked for. They were very accommodating to my requests regarding length and shape. I am extremely pleased with the results and highly recommend this salon.

I’ve given a 3 star rating as generally I was always somewhat satisfied with the service I received. However, yesterday I was extremely dissatisfied when I left the salon and my nail beds were severely aching. I requested short almond-shaped nails, but they were cut too short, so I agreed to have them rounded instead. As the technician was filing my nails, he went too deep into my nail bed, causing pain that still persists. I pointed this out, but he did not understand until the manager intervened, acknowledged the issue, and apologised. I then opted for a pedicure, but it was rushed and lacked proper exfoliation. My feet were left dry, and the nails and cuticles were not properly attended to. After spending £55, I left feeling distressed and disappointed, especially as a new mother treating myself. I will not be returning.
