Lovely spot to pause during a bicycle ride or stroll outside of Devizes (or the Caravan Camping site 2.5 miles in the opposite direction) for a snack or ice cream. Enjoyed a delightful toastie and a sweet potato/red pepper soup. The view of the impressive lock systems is quite nice.
Took my daughter and dog to Devizes Wharf after more than 5 years since my last visit. Disappointed to discover the cafe at the Trust was closed. Continued our walk to the Caen locks, where my daughter insisted on stopping. Ordered 2 cheese toasties, a Latte, and apple juice - all delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and cheerful. Looking forward to coming back in a couple of months.
Opted for coffee, fruit tea, and a hot chocolate. All served nice and hot. The selection included cakes, hot filled baps, and even dog ice cream. There was a bit of a queue on Sunday due to the pleasant weather. Did not sample the food, so no rating provided. Jubilee woods can be found nearby.
