Incredibly snug and peaceful hotel, with a great price. We stayed for 9 nights in a double-bed room. The location isn't in the city centre, but it's close to the bus station. Also, only a 5-minute walk to supermarkets and restaurants.
I received a voucher for a Signature Spa Day with a 25-minute Treatment Standard. It was dreadful! The pool was overcrowded, as was the jacuzzi. All the seats around the pool were taken. I tried to get into the jacuzzi, but it was so hot that I couldn't. The relaxation room was packed, and the food in the cafe was pricey and not up to par. The treatment I received lasted less than 20 minutes. I was ready to begin, but the masseur still insisted on waiting outside the room for 5 minutes, even though I had informed her that I was ready before she left. I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience, especially since it was a birthday gift. I would advise against spending money on a Spa Day here and instead recommend going to a local leisure centre for a much better experience. I will not be returning to a Bannatyne club again.
First visit here and welcomed by a receptionist who was extremely helpful. He guided us to the pool, treatment rooms and cafe. It was a bit unusual to go upstairs to the changing rooms and then downstairs to the pool. We arrived just after the water activity session ended, so there was ample space to swim. The jacuzzi was a good size as well. For lunch, we went to the cafe which offered specials and a good selection, including health bars for the dedicated fitness enthusiasts. We opted to extend our treatments for extra time. Had a back massage, mini facial, and foot massage. I would definitely recommend it.
