My first visit to this salon. Isla styled my hair and did a fantastic job. I felt heard and Isla also gave me some helpful tips. I will definitely be returning.
Managed to snag a last-minute appointment here (very thankful for that) and I will definitely be a repeat customer. The staff are all delightful, and there's a welcoming vibe here. Kaitlyn (I believe!) did an excellent job on my hair for my birthday. Thank you so much!
I had my hair styled by Isla at HairWorks. A few minutes into the haircut after the first side was done, I inquired if that was the final length. If not, could I have another centimetre off? Isla replied, 'No, this is the agreed length. If you want it shorter, you'll need to pay for another session.' Isla then advised me to be 'more decisive next time'. I was embarrassed - I've never encountered such customer service - usually, the stylist will check if you're satisfied and make any changes. Before the cut, a new apprentice washed my hair which took a while (I didn't mind) and since I was the last client of the day, I assume Isla wanted to finish up. Emma used to style my hair and she was fantastic, always willing to make adjustments. This incident has convinced me not to return to HairWorks and I recommend others to steer clear too.
