I visited here as my usual spot is hard to reach now that it's in the ULEZ. I could reserve a spot online which was fantastic and very convenient. The booking presented me with two choices for waxing, one at the standard rate and another at a lower price with a specific staff member. I opted for the cheaper option due to a significant price gap.
Upon arrival, the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The establishment appeared clean.
The waxing process was carried out in a comfortable manner.
However, when it came time to settle the bill, I was charged the full price instead of the option I selected. I was informed that it wasn't the staff member I chose, but someone else, and those were the rates. It felt like a misrepresentation and a poor excuse to charge me more. Consequently, I am unlikely to return. What a delightful, spacious salon with large, bright windows. Carrie gave me a wonderful head massage - worth the price alone. Rachel provided excellent shampoo advice, and I could purchase it right there. All my greys were expertly covered, and the cut was sharp. Finished off with a blow-dry and a touch of straightener for a perfect look. I visited Sarah at NORTH to have my hair coloured after many years. She is truly exceptional!! As a natural brunette, I opted for a full head balayage. Sarah was incredibly welcoming and ensured I got the exact look I desired. My son had his first haircut here and we couldn’t have had a better experience! The lady cutting his hair was so kind and patient with him and we love the cut! I have been a loyal customer for almost 3 years and wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The Roar team are incredibly knowledgeable and really make an effort to consult and discuss your preferences. They have guided me from dark box dye to blonde and everything in between (depending on my whims at the time!) My initial visit to this salon, and I usually refrain from leaving reviews, but goodness gracious I had to! These ladies are absolutely fantastic, they make you feel incredibly welcome and are just so kind. I adored it, I felt truly at ease, and they guided me along the way as I struggle with decision-making! Yasmine and Josie were exceptional, and honestly, I cannot recommend these ladies enough. I am genuinely looking forward to booking with them again! From the moment you enter the establishment, there is a delightful ambiance, Liam the receptionist is exceptionally welcoming, Fiona has styled and coloured my hair for several years, nothing is too much trouble, she will engage in a conversation with you about your preferences during your appointment. Fiona is exceptional at her craft, my hair has never been as vibrant with a colour and style I adore. There are reclining chairs for hair washing, excellent tea, coffee and a variety of magazines. A pristine, luminous salon. The entire team is genuinely amicable.
