Kathleen is very approachable and one of the finest doctors I've encountered. Always attentive to your perspective and provides valuable advice. She was an exceptional GP, and her departure was a significant loss to our practice.
When Kathleen Long took over as GP in Skirving Street, Shawlands, I phoned for guidance as my mother had esophageal cancer and was very unwell. Kathleen Long curtly mentioned she had my mother's notes in front of her, insinuating my mother was exaggerating her condition and abruptly ended the call. Kathleen Long had never interacted with my mother. This incident occurred in 1997, prior to digital records, making it improbable she had any notes. I was so distressed I never informed my mother I had called, and instead took her to the hospital where she passed away shortly after. Kathleen Long was unkind and unsuitable for public interaction. Even now, years later, I am still angered and saddened by Kathleen Long's callous remarks about my mother. Based on other accounts here, it seems her demeanour and professionalism have not changed. (I would have rated zero stars if possible)
Dr. Long was a GP in my region, albeit some time ago. I found them to be abrasive and impolite, not receptive to patients' perspectives.
