I would like to begin by mentioning that I have been a loyal customer here for approximately 8 years, usually getting acrylic nails. Today, I opted for a full set of dip powder nails and had an awful experience. I usually request a specific technician to do my nails and I don't mind waiting. However, the technician seemed clueless about how to do the dip nails. After 1.5 hours of a messy job, she restarted multiple times, leaving my fingers sore from excessive filing, uneven, and cut around the cuticles. I offered to settle for regular acrylics if she couldn't manage the dip powder. She muttered something to a colleague in their language and he took over. He roughly handled my hand, visibly frustrated that I pointed out the issues with my nails. He filed my nails again (4th time) and restarted, even though I just wanted them removed after 2.5 hours of failed attempts. When he struggled to remove the remaining colour, he aggressively filed my fingers and cuticles. This was my worst nail salon experience, and based on complaints from other customers during my nearly 3-hour ordeal, I wasn't the only one! I left in tears, and my nails looked so terrible that I went to a nearby salon where the technician was shocked at the state of my nails and spent time fixing them. She didn't want to charge me but I insisted on paying £5 as a token of gratitude. After 8 years of loyalty, I will never return.
