Exceptional experience! Highly informed physicians and compassionate and skilled masseurs! Do not be deterred by the slightly outdated decor. The service is outstanding and the outcomes remarkable. The team at Herbal Zen has alleviated my chronic joint pain and inflammation, and enhanced my overall health, well-being, and immunity to a degree I never believed possible.
I went for a massage and acupuncture on Saturday, which were decent. Not the best or worst I've had, but I ended up with a significant burn from the heat lamp during the massage. When asked to turn over, the lamp wasn't lifted and burned my left shoulder.
Today, I had a full body massage, and the therapist was applying so much pressure. I asked her 5-6 times to be gentle, but she just kept saying OK, laughing, and continuing with the strong pressure. When she finally finished, I informed the receptionist that the therapist was too rough despite my repeated requests for a gentler touch. His response was not apologetic; he simply mentioned that she is still learning English. That's not really professional, is it? A massage therapist should understand the word "gentle" regardless of language proficiency.
