I've been a loyal patron of Edit for many years now, and even after relocating from Edinburgh, I don't mind embarking on an hour-long journey to indulge in a facial every other month. He is simply unparalleled in skill, experience, and attention to detail. The level of professionalism and excellence he provides is unmatched in the city. (I've tried! Before discovering him.) He is constantly exploring the latest treatment options, continuing to expand his knowledge and expertise, and investing in cutting-edge technology, among other things. I cannot sing his praises enough!
I had booked a Hollywood wax, and I typically opt for hot wax. However, instead of applying the wax in sections (which usually takes about 5 strips), the technician applied tiny 2cm bits with her finger and proceeded bit by bit. When I requested larger sections to expedite the process (as it would have taken around 40 minutes), she seemed unfamiliar with the concept and insisted that her method was superior, mentioning that no one had ever complained before. The lack of pre-wax oil made the experience quite painful for me, so I had to discontinue (the owner was understanding and accommodating). In all my years of waxing, I have never encountered this application technique, and had I known, I may have chosen a different salon.
