Reasonably stocked store but poorly arranged with lengthy narrow aisles. They handle prescriptions quite inefficiently, only allowing a few people in at a time which leads to a long line outside, often leaving elderly individuals standing for extended periods. The staff, however, are pleasant enough.
On vacation and just had the most dreadful customer service I've ever encountered. There was an employee restocking the aisle and she backed into me without an apology! Then a younger lady told me I couldn't browse in a specific section! Absolutely appalling; people need to learn some manners!
Just visited to purchase a Christmas gift, Abbi was assisting me (kind of) Helped me with testing some aftershaves. I graciously allowed someone to go ahead of me, selected the aftershave I wanted to buy and informed Abbi. Waited to be served while the line grew longer and longer, only to be ignored. After a 10-minute wait, I was told to go to the back of a lengthy queue. Not even a polite request. Ilfracombe high street is lifeless, with service like this Boots may be the next to close down.
