My kin and I booked the private dining room for my retirement bash on Saturday 30th March and had a delightful afternoon. My guests had journeyed from all over the land so it was lovely to have such a charming room to ourselves for a good old catch up and celebration. It was arranged really nicely, the food and service were superb and the ambiance was spot on. Thanks to all the team at Whinstone View for making it a truly special afternoon.
Half day yoga retreat. Chilled morning in a stunning locale. We kicked off with mint tea (fresh, not bags). Engaged in some journal prompts then a delightful yoga flow. Took a mindful stroll after enjoying some breakfast as shown. Followed by restorative yoga which was wonderful but marred by the chilly temp in the barn. Allegedly they have underfloor heating in there so not sure why this wasn't on. Overall, I would partake in this again and it would be delightful if you could host one for each changing season.
First trip here today, we fancied somewhere new for brekkie and some mates had recommended Whinstone View a while back. Waze tried to lead us astray, but we spotted a sign for it. The place is quite vast, and not immediately clear of where to head, but we navigated our way and parked up. Once more, it’s not entirely clear of where to head, we trusted our instincts, and we found the right spot. We were welcomed and instructed to sit anywhere we fancied, once we chose a table, we were informed that one was reserved. Classic us, but it wasn’t apparent. We settled in and a lady approached to take our drink orders, there was a dairy-free choice, so we selected our drinks, and perused the menu. We opted for a full English and an eggs benedict. The drinks arrived swiftly and we didn’t have to wait long for the grub. The grub was all well prepared, piping hot and the right portion size (though I do prefer 2 bangers). The menu does state no substitutions, but I’m not a fan of Black pudding. The grub was of truly good quality, the Oat latte was splendid too. The crew cleared the plates and were very pleasant and courteous, checking if all was good on a couple of occasions. We settled the tab, there was no pressure to tip, and we will definitely be returning.
