Beware! The online booking system is unreliable. The staff were unwelcoming and rude. Upon seeing available appointments online, I called in but regretted it. There are better ways to treat customers, regardless of whether they are regulars or not, especially with many other salons in Cottingham. I was searching for a local salon for my daughter but even she was put off by the unfriendliness of the staff. As we left, she said, “let’s not go back in there, Mummy,” wise words from a five-year-old. Despite the range of services offered, I am in search of a friendly local salon. Good customer service shouldn't be overlooked in the current climate.
My Mum and I indulged in pampering treatments, a delightful experience. I had a back massage and facial, while Mum enjoyed an Indian Head massage and facial. The treatments were incredibly relaxing, and we've already booked another session for Christmas. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the treatment room was warm, cosy, and quiet, enhancing the relaxation. Looking forward to our next visit.
Visited a spa today with a friend at 11am, filled with excitement, left quite disappointed. Initially, the staff were pleasant but led us to a cramped hot tub room. We were told we could stay for an hour and a half, but the cover was left on half the tub, forcing us to squeeze in. We removed it ourselves, revealing a room in dire need of cleaning. The towels were stained, flip flops dirty, and the dressing gowns old. The full mud experience consisted of dry mud bowls to apply on ourselves, followed by sitting on a bench in silence. The light lunch was served in the same room, lacking plates and utensils. The massage was decent but in a small room, and the nail tech had us place our feet on the floor. Mentioned the issues to staff, received a dismissive response. Not worth the £95 each we paid. Disappointed with the experience, especially the tiny plastic bag for swimsuits.
