Headmasters Academy at Kingston College

Had the most peculiar encounter. It took a good 4 hours to get my highlights done. Two apprentices were assigned to work on my hair, but some sections needed touching up as they didn't apply enough product. They had to keep seeking assistance from their mentor. One of them found the task too dull and, after complaining about leg discomfort (at such a young age?), she left the other girl to handle everything. The latter was the only one displaying true professionalism. For the other apprentices, it felt like being at a bustling market - loud, with profanities every few words, and constantly taking selfies. If this is the upcoming generation of hairdressers, we clients are in for a challenge. To add to the experience, I didn't have time for a blow-dry and had to leave with wet hair. Despite this, the 'mentor' still charged me for the service. I'm tempted to rate this less than 3 stars, but I'll be generous because I appreciated the effort of one of the students. I hope she succeeds in opening her own salon.

Consistently receive fantastic haircuts and semi-permanent hair colour here. The supervisors are always supportive and available for any queries.

Absolutely avoid this salon for a haircut! While I understand they are still learning, the results are unacceptable. I requested basic layers, yet I ended up with a bob for the top layer and choppy ends. My hair was completely ruined, and it shattered my confidence.
