I am absolutely delighted with Sabeera’s salon. The level of customer service is exceptional, and the care and attention they dedicate to your hair is truly remarkable! Words cannot express how thrilled I am to have discovered this salon. Undoubtedly one of the premier hair salons in Yorkshire. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment, do visit, you will not be disappointed!
I got braids done at Sabeera's, and I must say, it is an extremely unhygienic environment for hair treatments. All the hairdressers use the same hair gel on their clients, and I felt queasy witnessing dead hairs from other customers being transferred to my own. The hairdresser who attended to me used the same comb to part my hair and then placed it back in her own hair multiple times, which I found repulsive, but I decided to give the process a chance. While the braids were executed well, I was not provided with any aftercare advice or offered any products, even though I would have gladly spent an additional £60-£80 on products to maintain the health of my hair. By the fifth day, I had to remove the braids due to numerous stray hairs and an incredibly itchy scalp from the excessive use of gel/glue. Upon removal, chunks of my hair began to fall out. The braids were done so tightly that they caused significant damage, resulting in thinner hair and a more visible scalp when tied back, something I had never experienced at the age of 28. Overall, I will not be returning and strongly advise against visiting this salon. It is unfortunate because it has potential. This review is sincere, and I hope it assists those who are uncertain about visiting this establishment.
I would not particularly suggest this establishment for knotless braids. While the staff were pleasant, my experience was not positive. I spent a staggering 8 hours in the chair to have small/medium braids done, despite having multiple individuals working on it. The braider did not section the hair properly, which I did not notice at the time, but there is a central part running from the front to the back of my head, which is not characteristic of knotless braids. I ended up with numerous thick and heavy braids, and although I acknowledge that my hair is thick, there are techniques to prevent this. The hairdresser did not know how to detangle hair and roughly ran the blow dryer through my hair, even though I acknowledged that my hair was knottier than usual. The end result is unsatisfactory, and I paid £120 only to likely remove the braids next week. Additionally, the hairdresser repeatedly complained about the thickness and volume of my hair, but I have an afro - what else would you expect? Considering the price, I cannot recommend this place.
