I had hair extensions fitted by James nearly 4 weeks ago and I’m so impressed- they look so real that nobody noticed that it’s not my hair, they just commented that my hair has grown a lot. James informed me of how to look after my natural hair and extensions and my hair has much more moisture now that I’m following the steps he told me. I’ll be booking in to tighten the extension. 10 out of 10 service, will definitely recommend him to anyone.
Thank you so much @lavizionuk!! I first came in with very bad damaged and dry hair. At first I was a bit hesitant as I've not had good experiences with salons. James reassured me and managed my hair excellently. He really prioritised my well-being and gave me really good advice on how to care for my hair. He really made me feel special as he also prioritises 1:1 with his clients. He also made me feel comfortable by engaging with me. I've been with James for 2 years now and I doubt I will ever go to another salon to do my hair ever again.
I booked for a texture release through the website. I got a call from Jamie before my appointment confirming that it was indeed a texture release I wanted - I informed him I had done an Avlon texture release before and I just wanted a touch up for new growth. When I arrived for my appointment, he welcomed me saying "are you here for the texturizer" and I corrected saying "I'm here for the texture release" (These two treatments are NOT the same as I certainly wouldn't pay £100 for a texturizer). Now he proceeded to mix some things and started applying to my hair. Knowing that's not the Avlon texture release, I asked what that was and he said it was his own brand of texturizer. I sighed internally and resigned my fate to the texturizer but here comes the kicker - what he put on my hair wasn't texturizer but relaxer. I noticed my scalp start to hurt and he was in the middle of someone else's consultation. I'm very non-confrontational so I interjected when I could and asked for the treatment to be washed off my head. I know it was relaxer as that's the only thing that would hurt my scalp and make my roots straight. Now my roots are straight and my ends are curly. Literally the worst nightmare for anyone with natural hair. As you can imagine, my hair has been shedding, my scalp got burnt and I can't get that pungent smell of heat out of my hair. There's no way to fix this so the best I can do is warn others - Please stay away from here especially if you have natural hair. Thanks.
