I was thrilled to visit this nail salon after hearing such great reviews. However, my experience was marred by the unfriendly attitude of the attendant right from the start.
This was my first time trying the BIAB treatment, and I was unclear about the process. When I inquired, the attendant either seemed unwilling to explain or was unsure themselves.
I had a specific design in mind, but I ended up with something completely different because the attendant was unsure how to do the second line of the French manicure.
Only a week has passed since my visit, and the polish is already chipping.
I spent 40 pounds on a service that didn't even last a week. I've attached some photos for comparison; what I wanted versus what I received. I have yet to encounter a salon or service elsewhere that matches the sensation of lightness, cleanliness, and thoroughness I experience during my mani-pedi sessions at Marcela's. (A pedicure at Cotton House in Mustique came close, but that's a story for another time.) The price aligns with the quality of the treatment, as it endures. I even went on safari with my shellac nails, and they remained flawless for the entire two weeks.
The facial treatment with Anila is extraordinary. It's unfortunate that she isn't always available, making it challenging to secure an appointment with her. Nevertheless, my skin appeared plump and well-moisturised for weeks after her session. The Environ products she recommended are top-notch, albeit a bit pricey, they are definitely worth it.
Invest in excellence! I'm already scheduling my next appointment for when I'm back in London 💌About
