As a male with minimal to no prior experience in makeup, I enrolled at The Makeup School feeling quite apprehensive, but Jacqui was incredibly supportive and reassuring! The course content is extensive, yet the small class sizes ensured that I always had the opportunity to ask questions and ample time to practice. By the end of the week, I felt self-assured and eager to put into practice the techniques I had acquired. The week proved to be immensely enjoyable, and Jacqui's wealth of knowledge and practical advice were invaluable, prompting me to diligently take notes for future reference - my notebook has become an indispensable resource!
I successfully finished the intensive Silver course in London with the Makeup School, and it proved to be an exceptional and valuable experience. I acquired a wealth of knowledge regarding makeup products and the most effective techniques for their application. Our instructor, Jacqui, was not only engaging and patient but also incredibly talented. She generously imparted numerous valuable tips and was always available to offer guidance whenever we required it. The course was meticulously structured over the span of 5 days, with Jacqui breaking down each topic into manageable sections followed by a practical makeup application session that we had to replicate, enabling us to hone our makeup skills on the model/student. This course was truly exceptional. I undertook the two-week Platinum course and the amount of knowledge I gained was immense. Jacqui maintains small group sizes, which allowed her to provide individualized assistance and guidance while working on our models, a luxury that seems unimaginable in larger classes. Jacqui exuded warmth, friendliness, and exceptional talent, making the course an absolute delight. Having the same instructor every day enabled her to pinpoint areas where each of us needed to improve. She also went above and beyond to secure discounts for us to kickstart our professional kits. Although I am saddened that the course has concluded, I cherished every moment of it and now feel equipped and confident to embark on my journey as a makeup artist.
