I had scheduled an appointment with Alex and went in last week for a cut, colour, and style. Alex was so welcoming and really grasped what I wanted. My hair looks and feels the best it has in years and I can’t wait to return for a touch-up!! Would 100% recommend. Thank you Alex!!
Not sure where to even begin with this review if I’m honest but I am absolutely devastated by how much I detest my hair after spending over £500 at this salon which is an insane amount of money to me but I paid it thinking I would be content again with my hair. What a mistake. I’ve never been treated so poorly by an owner/manager of any establishment in my life. I am a new father with a young baby who made some regrettable decisions when I was feeling blue during the first few months of postpartum and I went to curl up and dye to do a complete colour correction which cost over £300. The next stage of this cost a further £216. When I got home from this appointment I cried my eyes out. It was nothing even remotely what I wanted or asked for or had discussed. I called the salon the next day and spoke to the hairdresser who did my hair and she was so dismissive and just told me to wash my hair (and joked not with dish soap? And blamed the picture I showed?) After coming off the phone I just cried more. The following day I called back to speak to the owner/manager Tyler and explained everything. I was then away for two weeks and couldn’t return however we booked in for when I could to show him my hair as I insisted and he asked me to send him pictures that day over email which I did. After looking at the pictures I felt even more devastated than I already did. I asked Tyler to call me back after viewing the pictures to discuss further as I was so upset. He didn’t. He completely ignored me. I had to call again myself even more upset and the treatment I got was appalling. He called me rude and tried to blame his personal life for not getting back to me and tried to blame the fact my hair had previous box dye on it for the outcome. The reason I paid £300 on the previous visit was to remove the box dye and my hair has lifted to a blonde that is not the issue it is the placement of the blonde along with many other mistakes. I used to manage an extremely busy aesthetic clinic for many years who had hundreds of clients in and out of their doors each day (much more than a few little old dears here and there) and never ever would I have ignored an email such as mine or spoke to a client the way he did especially not a new dad who was very upset. He has now ignored mine and my husbands emails for the past two weeks since I requested a refund. Absolutely appalling. We are now having to go ahead with an ADR. I would attach the pictures of my hair to this review but I can’t bear for them to be online. Please think again before going to this salon and read the reviews on Yell regarding Tyler.
My twin sons had a wash and cut with Alex a week ago. They absolutely adore the results. I am a very jittery person when it comes to having my hair done due to past unfortunate incidents, (not here). However today I have visited Alex for a full head of foils, cut and blow dry. What an experience, she knew precisely what I needed. The salon is laid-back, Alex is delightful and so easy to converse with. Thank you so much for putting me at ease. You have rejuvenated my confidence in getting my hair done and we will definitely be back again.
