I had a massage there yesterday and I can honestly say it was the poorest massage I've ever experienced. When asked about the pressure I preferred - soft, medium, or hard - I chose medium, but it felt like someone was just spreading cream on my back, no actual massage pressure at all. There were numerous distractions, from the therapist leaving the room to attend to another client who arrived, to checking her mobile phone, constant loud notifications, and monitoring the CCTV screen in the room. In my opinion, she seemed to be the owner with no massage experience, lacking any technique at all. It appeared there were no other staff available to perform the massage, so instead of turning me away, she did it herself. Sorry, but if this is how you manage your business, it won't last long.
Today I visited the Healing Touch massage centre in Newcastle, and as someone who has had COUNTLESS massages over the past few years due to chronic back pain, the experience was... rather disappointing.
This place is a true hidden jewel! The team was so professional, and the massage was absolutely outstanding. I could feel all my stress simply melting away. And the cherry on top? I slept like a log afterwards. I will definitely be returning!
