Apex employs a range of Nurses, some of whom are excellent at their job and others who overstep their boundaries, particularly when it comes to financial matters. I was wrongly accused of theft from my neighbour, Yvonne, who had suffered a stroke. I have been friends with Yvonne for five years and found her collapsed on the stairwell, leading to her stroke. I declined the role of Power of Attorney but still helped Yvonne with her bills under the supervision of Social Services. Despite one Nurse causing unnecessary drama by accusing me without all the facts, the situation was eventually clarified. This was distressing for Yvonne, myself, and others involved. Sadly, like many elders, Yvonne had to sell her flat to move into a care home. Communication is crucial, and baseless accusations only cause harm. Overall, there is a mix of competent and problematic staff at Apex.
I had a disappointing experience with this company. They were unreliable with their timings and some workers did not wear proper protective equipment. When I raised my concerns politely, the management responded with hostility. Despite informing Social Services, no action was taken. My partner, who has Alzheimer's, was greatly upset by the whole situation. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
