Claude is one of the most fantastic healthcare professionals I have ever encountered. Last year I underwent spinal surgery for an incredibly rare and complex condition. She cared for me before and after the surgery, and I don't think I could have managed it all without her. If you seek treatment from a skilled, compassionate, and empathetic practitioner, I would highly recommend Claude.
2 weeks ago I awoke in intense pain, unable to walk and fearful I was in the early stages of childbirth (currently 36 weeks pregnant). To put it simply, it felt like someone was hammering my pelvic bone every time my legs moved even slightly. After a visit to the maternity assessment unit, Pelvic Girdle Pain was diagnosed as the cause. I had transitioned from being highly active, walking the dogs for an hour daily to completely reliant on a wheelchair where even shifting from the wheelchair to the toilet or bed was excruciating. I reached out to Summertown Clinic in the early hours of the morning and Nadine phoned me within a couple of hours! Even in the initial phone call, she was extremely helpful and discussed various gentle exercises to do in bed as well as pain management breathing techniques. I was quite anxious about the appointment considering how painful even the smallest movements were and didn't hold much hope for improvement. I'm thrilled to say how mistaken I was! The initial appointment lasted 1 hour and Nadine listened to all my symptoms, explained the causes, conducted manual therapy, and then went through physio exercises to practice post-appointment. That night I was a bit sore but by the next day, I had noticeably more mobility. Anyway, skip ahead another week and I have progressed from being wheelchair-bound and in agony just lifting one foot to being able to walk again with crutches for support! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
My 11-year-old daughter underwent ear wax removal with Sam, and I brought my 9-year-old son to the appointment.
