Hair and Beauty at Slimming World

I was quite anxious about getting my hair styled after a negative past encounter elsewhere, but Holly was delightful and immediately put me at ease. I will certainly come back and would highly recommend a visit here!

I went for a massage last week. My partner treated me to this as a post-baby gift. However, it didn't really feel like a treat this time. I've visited this salon for hair and beauty services a few times over the years, including a pregnancy massage and my wedding nails, all of which were positive experiences. But this time, the warm welcome I usually received was lacking. My greeting felt rushed, just going through the basics before being led to a brightly lit room. I was left alone for a good 10 minutes to prepare myself. As I lay on the bed, I could hear the staff chatting at the reception for about 5 minutes. The massage pressure was good, but the therapist wore gloves, which I wasn't comfortable with. There was no mention of this beforehand. If it was for health reasons, like allergies or infections, I would understand, but they were just used routinely. I've had many massages in different places and have never encountered gloves being used. It felt odd, and I didn't appreciate the extra rustling and smell they brought. I could also hear everything happening at the reception, even over the spa music. The room really needs better soundproofing. After the massage, it was a quick, "drink lots of water, the receptionist will assist you," and off she went. At the reception, all they said was, "when can we book you in next?". I also doubt that I received the full hour I paid for, especially after being left alone for so long at the start. This time, it didn't feel like a treat, and I've had better experiences elsewhere. I've given it 3 stars instead of 1 because the massage itself was decent, aside from the gloves. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that they consider the experience they provide to beauty clients, especially with the rising cost of living making these treatments a luxury for many; they should feel special.
