I've frequented this place hassle-free for years. Even left a glowing review but AITA ? Today, I went for a pre-booked spray tan with my daughter for a grand wedding tomorrow. My daughter dashed into the shop while I parked the car about a minute away at the side of Outhaus... as rain began to fall. I hurried to the shop, only to find the front door locked. I tried the handle, rang the bell twice, called the shop twice, all while the rain poured down. Seeking shelter in a nearby shop, I called my daughter twice, but no answer. Now, it was pouring heavily. My daughter finally called back. I told her I was locked out of the shop. I made it to the shop completely soaked... the lady didn't even apologise for locking me out in the downpour. She simply said I was too wet for the tan. I looked at her incredulously. Of course, I'm wet... you locked the door! I've never encountered such an attitude. Unbelievable. I wouldn't have gotten wet if she had waited just 2 minutes while I parked in the disabled spot across the road. I was very surprised by her attitude and the lack of an apology. Moreover, the store was empty, hardly a busy time. Sorry, but her attitude was utterly appalling. I couldn't even bear to look at her while waiting for my daughter. So, thanks, Intrigue. I won't be returning.
