I revisited this establishment yesterday after a few years and was pleasantly surprised to see that it has undergone a recent refurbishment. The new look is delightful and much cleaner than before. Previously, it had a bit of a rough crowd with some unsavoury characters grumbling at the bar, but it appears they no longer frequent the place. I enjoyed two delicious pints of Guinness and oddly enough, a packet of chorizo-flavoured crisps. It's now undoubtedly the best pub in Hockley.
