Absolutely thrilled with the manicure I received from Sophie today. She was attentive, ensured she understood exactly what I wanted, and the end result is fantastic. It was my first time visiting, and it was a delightful experience. I will definitely be returning. My nails were in a sorry state - damaged and brittle, but now they look presentable and beautiful!
Took my friend today for a special treat as part of her wedding preparations. During my previous visit, the staff mentioned we could bring non-alcoholic drinks and snacks for the relaxation room, but when I called to book, I was informed this was only allowed if we were also having treatments. We had a 2-hour spa booking today with my two friends, scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. However, at 12:15, the receptionist entered the spa and abruptly told us it was time to leave as she needed to prepare for the next appointment. We left around 12:20 and proceeded to the changing room. The receptionist then brought in two ladies for the next booking, leaving us with no space to get ready. Thankfully, the two ladies kindly waited outside until we were done. All of this occurred before our scheduled end time of 12:30. I felt rushed and unwelcome by the receptionist, and it seemed like she was disregarding us. We didn't get our full 2 hours of relaxation, and unfortunately, this experience has deterred us from returning to Essence. It's a pity as the other staff members are lovely. Perhaps the receptionist may not be the best fit for the role, being the first point of contact and creating a negative impression. Such a shame.
The spa is absolutely wonderful and incredibly relaxing. I had no idea about it until a friend recommended it, but it was worth every penny. Having an hour to myself to unwind and destress was truly delightful.
