Helen's Nails

If you are reading this review prior to booking, exercise caution if considering making an appointment, as the less than stellar reviews are not unfounded. Staff with mood swings, multiple, at times triple, bookings for the same slot leading to either prolonged waiting or forced departure. Initially waited assuming a genuine error (which it wasn't!) and then endured a begrudging manicure as they push for pricier procedures. Returned for the same treatment. Should have left immediately as my nails are now weakened due to filing as if for gels instead of a regular manicure. Complete disregard for clients in what should be an enjoyable experience. I shan't be returning.

My mother left Helen’s Nails nearly in tears due to the disrespectful treatment by the staff, who were exceedingly rude. She had a pedicure and when she asked for a manicure, they appeared very irritated, as if they were reluctant to perform it.

Service with a sneer! They don't merit the single star I reluctantly gave for this review. Only one star for being open and providing an appointment, (regret that decision)! Staff extremely dour, overpriced, and truthfully, I could have done a superior job at home. Wished I had! They inflated the price from the initial quote. Double-booked me, resulting in a 25-minute wait before commencement. Steep price for subpar quality. Very thin topcoat, allowing the glitter polish to show through, almost like no topcoat at all. Nails cut too short. Rough manicure. Customer service non-existent! They appeared greatly inconvenienced. Salon chilly, pedicure chilly, nail dryer chilly until I complained about my freezing hands, lukewarm water, service cold, and attitude lukewarm ...cold! Highly stressful and uncomfortable. Will never return! Next time, I'll book with Akina nearby, recommended by my mother, who knows how to treat customers and deliver a quality service for a similar price but with far more professionalism and customer care as their foundation. Back to the drawing board, Helen's Nails!
