I had a truly dreadful time at the nail salon. I shelled out £40 for what was supposed to be Builder gel, but within a day, all the nails had chipped. When I went back to have them fixed, I had to wait over 40 minutes for Lily, who was incredibly rude!! Even after the redo, there were still marks on my nails, indicating she doesn't know what she's doing. I definitely won't be returning, and it was definitely not worth the £40.
The quality of Lilly's nail work is consistently excellent. Both Lee and Lilly are skilled nail technicians, and my wife always trusts them with her nails. The issue lies with certain clients who fail to uphold their end of the bargain. Some demand immediate service, refuse to pay, or have no intention of paying. Unfortunately, these individuals have tarnished the reputation of others running a small family business while supporting each other and their children. It's a challenge for them, especially considering English is their second language. They deserve a chance as they make an effort to communicate, unlike other nail salons.
Right from the beginning, Lily was cold towards me, questioning my choices when I had already requested S&S. During the appointment, she scolded me for accidentally getting a cloth stuck to my nail and warned me against rubbing my nails. Other places provide cotton wool for removing old S&S, so I thought I was following the right procedure. She even burned my fingers with the drill four times, rushed through the job, and displayed a dismissive attitude towards me. When I inquired about her youngest son, she chose to ignore me. Despite knowing about my hand pains, she kept pulling my hands towards her and abruptly took my bag from the chair I was using, claiming she needed it for another customer. She proceeded to work on someone else's nails before abruptly declaring mine were done. It's clear she doesn't want me as a customer, and I won't be returning, especially not for £45. I'm baffled by her behaviour as I've always been pleasant and friendly towards her, even offering my caravan for a complimentary holiday. In contrast, Lee is kind and amiable, and there's no loyalty card system in place.
