Today, I visited Skin Solutions for a consultation. The clinic is beautiful, and I had the pleasure of meeting Tracey, who conducted a thorough consultation. She was transparent and forthcoming, and I eagerly anticipate my next appointment.
Impressive service. Tracey was delightful and highly skilled. The treatment I received was exceptional. Both women were truly fantastic. Amy and Tracey.
I am at a loss for words, knowing I may face criticism for speaking up, but I must. I struggle with severe body dysmorphia and depression. About a year and a half ago, I sought plasma treatment, but was advised to opt for a nose thread lift instead. Despite my concerns of bleeding and pain, I was reassured it was normal. I reached out multiple times, expressing my worries that something was amiss, but was consistently told it was fine. During the initial consultation, I mentioned that I don't reside in Huddersfield, my grandmother does, and due to recently discovered arthritis, I couldn't travel easily. They insisted I return for a check-up, offering to cover transport costs. I explained I couldn't use public transport due to my condition and requested petrol money for a car journey, which was ignored. Despite my polite requests for a refund, as I now have a hole in my nose, I was met with silence. I didn't demand more, nor was I impolite. Even now, this message pushes me out of my comfort zone. I simply needed the refund to seek help where I live. Struggling with severe depression and a hole in my nose, I had hoped for understanding and reassurance, but instead, I was asked to send photos. For a whole year, I've avoided mirrors, feeling the weight of my deepening depression unacknowledged.
