Family Nails - Spa & Beauty

I am not critiquing pedicure. I came for toe nails. The atmosphere is bustling, indicating high demand. Even though it was a walk-in, the wait was short. Males are performing pedicures. My pedicure, including a spa treatment, was completed in just over an hour. Very impressive. However, their skill level seems lacking. A child could have painted my nails better. The result is unimpressive, amateurish work. I am awarding two stars solely for their effort in meeting customer expectations. They even helped me put my socks back on after the pedicure. I will not be returning. Apologies, but the male staff require more training. Subpar work!

If I could rate zero, I would! After my first pedicure at this establishment, I developed a foot infection that necessitated a hospital visit and a week-long course of antibiotics. I decided to give Family Nails another chance, so I opted for a pedicure and biab fingernails today (although they advised against biab, so I ended up with acrylic fingernails without tips, I might add). Before commencing the pedicure, I witnessed the technician retrieving used, dirty gloves from the top of the bin, turning them inside out (as disposable gloves do), and proceeding to wear them. Only after I pointed out the unsanitary practice did he switch to new gloves from a box. Additionally, I was overcharged by £10 for "designs" on my nails, even though there were clearly no designs, as evident in the photo! They charged me £80 for ombré fingernails and white toenails 🤦🏻‍♀️. A disgraceful, unsanitary establishment that I will not revisit or recommend to anyone!

I had a fantastic experience, and my nails are perfect and ready for my holiday! It was my first time getting them done, and the staff were incredibly kind. I will definitely return xx
