Coombe Cottage, Lurks Lane,
A charming location, with all the personnel we encountered being exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, our visit to the spa for a Christmas treat was a bit marred. The receptionist was handling things solo, resulting in us having treatments at separate times, which was not ideal. The treatment itself was enjoyable, using high-quality oils and provided by a kind and considerate masseuse. Unfortunately, the rooms and pool were too chilly, diminishing our enjoyment. Despite pre-booking, our afternoon tea seemed to have been forgotten, and we received a hastily put-together meal with a choice of salmon or canned ham sandwiches, a detail that would deter me from returning.
My partner and I were invited to a two-day trial stay at the residence. We had a wonderful time. The interior design, cuisine, lodging, and overall experience were truly delightful. As retirees, this opportunity allowed us to envision our potential life there. We were met with warmth and assistance from the staff, making us feel incredibly welcome. Many thanks. The staff were very supportive. I will be trying out a back massage next week and will have more insights then. The prices for spa services are quite reasonable. Additionally, being able to use the hot tub independently is a great feature, unlike at other places where it's only included in a package at a high cost. 😎
