Despite residing nearby for an extended period, we only recently ventured into the museum. Our visit yesterday was truly exceptional. Engaging in a delightful Easter egg hunt and chick-finding activity while simultaneously participating in bingo was a highlight. The museum offers a plethora of dressing-up options and play areas for children. My two little ones thoroughly enjoyed some Easter crafting. The miniature train was a big hit, and we opted for an annual membership priced at £20, an absolute steal. Moreover, they reimbursed our entry fee for the day.
A marvellous little museum brimming with local insights. The interactive activities are fantastic, especially for children.
Absolutely splendid museum - it encapsulates a plethora of history with a comprehensive representation. I garnered a wealth of knowledge about the local history and the etymology of everyday words. I was enamoured by the diverse array of artefacts and the narratives they conveyed. The experience was thoroughly delightful, and the quaint little shop was a bonus. The museum offers a myriad of activities for children, making it a recommendation for families and history enthusiasts alike.
