While in the shop, I was rudely rushed out even though I was there during opening hours. The lights were then knowingly turned off while I was still scanning for items. When I politely asked for them to be turned back on, I was ignored and walked away from while speaking.
A woman who works in the hair shop was extremely rude, following us around as if we were criminals and eavesdropping on our conversation. We were deciding on what colour braiding hair to get, and she kept rushing us, saying ‘colour 1 is over there’, ‘braiding hair is over there’. When I responded ‘I know, thanks… I’m still looking’, she just kept rushing us and interrupting our conversation while acting suspicious of us. Felt racially profiled even though she herself is black… it be your own people.
My granddaughter asked me to pick up a shampoo for her. I was unsure if I had picked up the correct one. I tried to explain to the staff what I needed, to which he abruptly informed me that they were closing. It was 20:20, and if he had helped, I would have been gone within 2 minutes. Unhelpful, brash - they won't be seeing me again.
