I had my initial haircut at this salon in December 2023 by the wonderful Alex and have been back multiple times due to their exceptional professionalism and friendly service. The salon's location is perfect, and The Hair Studio provides a warm and enjoyable atmosphere.
I returned home feeling upset after a disappointing experience. I requested a 'shag' style, a trendy look from the 70s that has made a comeback, requiring specific expertise and technique. Instead of admitting she was unfamiliar with this style, the stylist attempted it anyway. My hair is very thick due to a significant growth spurt two years ago, leaving me with thin ends. Instead of trimming the ends and creating the 'shag' look, she used a thinning comb to thin out the ends, resulting in a messy, feathered style with no resemblance to the desired look! Moreover, she made no effort to actually achieve the 'shag' style. If you're seeking a basic haircut, you may be satisfied, but for modern styles, it's crucial to choose a salon that continuously improves and learns the latest techniques. I learned this the hard way and ended up losing a significant amount of my hair 😪
Had my hair styled by Alex who was incredibly efficient and skilled. Delighted with the results and will definitely be a returning customer.
