I recently visited this charming spa in Bridge Lane. The therapist was very attentive as I explained that I needed a firm massage as I had just spent 16 hours on a flight from South East Asia and 8 hours waiting for the connections. He asked, "How much pressure?" and I replied, "Authentic Thai style," which he understood meant intense but necessary. He identified all the tense muscles and also targeted the lymph nodes to reduce fluid retention from prolonged inactivity. It's important to speak slowly and be willing to simplify your words for those who don't have English as their first language. I have to do this with my Welsh colleague (a fantastic person), so patience is key. The results are definitely worth it.
To start, my appointment details were not recorded accurately. I had made bookings for myself and my friend. Upon arrival, we were informed they could only do a 30-minute session when my friend had booked for an hour. Poor communication skills and lack of professionalism were evident. They were conversing in their native language amongst themselves, making the experience uncomfortable. Additionally, they were using their phones during the massage. A complete waste of time.
Today was my first visit, and I absolutely loved it. The salon exudes warmth, tranquillity, cleanliness, and comfort. My therapist was Alex, and he provided me with a fantastic massage, a blend of deep tissue and relaxation. Dealing with some shoulder mobility issues, he focused on that area and made a significant difference. Alex is highly skilled, excellent at communication, and the experience was simply wonderful. I will certainly return and wholeheartedly recommend this place.
