I have visited Sam twice now due to aches and pains after having 2 pregnancies close together. I explained my concerns with my neck, back, and thighs, and Sam assessed and recommended the best treatment options for me. He is extremely professional, friendly, and explains everything clearly. I noticed a significant improvement immediately after both sessions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sam to anyone!
I had previously left a positive review, but I have since deleted it after visiting another massage therapist on Monday. My last visit to Sam was just under 2 weeks ago, yet I still have some bruising on my back, which the other therapist commented on. When I informed him of what Sam had done, he was quite shocked and insisted that the massage tool Sam uses has no benefit and is poor technique that causes bruising and is counterproductive to helping people with sore muscles. In addition to causing pain and bruising during the few sessions I've had with Sam, he also seemed to take issue with me booking through booksy. I do this for convenience as I typically don't carry cash and prefer not to bother others via text. On our last visit, Sam tried to imply I hadn't paid, and I almost paid him again until I showed him the email confirmation from booksy that I had already paid through their website. This behaviour is frankly suspicious. During a conversation, Sam mentioned he was trying to be more assertive. When you provide services, you shouldn't be seeking power plays over clients. This is odd behaviour. Clients help pay your bills! If you don't want clients using booksy, don't offer it as an online option and state that you only accept bookings via text. It's a shame because I thought Sam was nice, but the significant bruising after our last massage and the accusation of non-payment are enough reasons for me not to return to him. The last therapist who treated me spent the entire session ensuring he didn't bruise me and checking if the pressure he used was okay. He seemed genuinely appalled by the bruising, was highly professional, and had no issue with me booking through his company's website. No games or power plays in sight. I'll be sticking with him from now on as I simply want a reliable professional service that will address my issues.
I was experiencing one-sided shoulder and lower back pain after a car accident and began receiving treatment from Sam. He always explains and guides me through each treatment, outlining his actions at every stage of the appointment. He has truly helped alleviate my pain and enabled me to work without discomfort. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! :)
