Great service by Tracie and Abbie. I go to get my nails done and they are very welcoming and friendly. Great care is taken when doing shellac nails and is not over priced. Would definetly go again!!
I had a dreadful shellac manicure here on Wesnesday. I was planning on buying a Groupon to get my hands and feet done in preparation for a wedding this Saturday. I phoned up to enquire about appointments and was offered one that day at the same price without going through Groupon. I was hoping to also find a salon to go to regularly near work. The nail technician didn't ask me to sit down or ask what shape I liked. She didn't speak at all really, it was awkward at times. She told me it was her second day and she only usually does her friends' and family's nails (this concerned me). She didn't have much equipment herself and didn't use any cuticle gel. Half way through the manicure I asked her to tidy up the edges as I had rough cuticles and jagged bits. I really regret asking because she just picked away at them until they were sore. I told her she needed to leave cuticle gel on to soften them. She said she's used to doing her family and friend's nails who don't have cuticles like mine-okay then. The filing was also done poorly, I had to sort them out myself when I got home. I didn't have much faith in her doing my feet after the mess she made of my hands so I said I'd leave it. She'd also stopped talking to me completely by then as she knew I wasn't happy. I mentioned this to Tracey the manager when I went up to the desk, but she didn't really have anything to say, she didn't apologise or offer to fix it (she did say she could do my feet instead-I'd had enough by this point), she just said there'd be no charge. She didn't even look at my hands properly. It was really odd. I've visited many nail salons and have never had such a rubbish experience. Yes I may have been paying less with a voucher, but that doesn't warrant such poor treatment that has left my fingers sore. The manager didn't handle the complaint well at all and I don't think she has checked this girl can carry out proper manicures before employing her (probably to deal with the Groupon clients).
It was the first time I had a massage done, and it was excellent. I woke up the following day feeling a lot better!!! Thank you, Kirsty!!!
