I never leave bad reviews, but my salon visit was so disappointing that I felt compelled to write one. The service from the salon manager was subpar from the start. I requested a redo of a colour I had done there two weeks ago. During my previous appointment, the manager chose a powder colour for my chrome nails, so I didn't know the exact name of the glitter colour. When I asked for help this time, I was met with a sigh and scolded for not noting down the colour previously. It's not uncommon to forget the exact shade. This is not how a customer paying above average for a shellac manicure at a supposedly high-quality salon should be treated. The experience worsened when I was passed to a male nail technician who did a poor job. Chrome nails need a smooth base for a flawless finish. He left a hole in the base coat of one nail, tried to cover it with top coat, and then redid it after my request. However, he seemed agitated throughout, tapping his feet and nail file. After the appointment, I noticed inconsistencies in the chrome application and bumps in the base coat on several nails. The manager agreed to redo some nails, but it took another 20 minutes. While I appreciated the discount for the next appointment, it didn't make up for the overall poor service and the 2.5 hours it took for one manicure. Additionally, my nails chipped within a week, which is unacceptable. The technician, in an attempt to speed up the removal process, buffed my nails so vigorously that she left permanent marks. I departed with deep scratches on my nails that have now become incredibly sensitive. At one point, I informed her that she was causing me pain, but she continued to buff with annoyance. Despite my repeated attempts to convey my dissatisfaction, nothing changed.
