If we had discussed it beforehand, I could have scheduled my appointment for Wednesday. My hair holds a style for days when it is professionally done. In a professional salon, I expect to receive advice on what suits me best for a special occasion. This was successfully achieved during a previous visit with Oliver (who has since left the salon). I politely suggested at least twice that I preferred to have curls done first and then have my hair pulled back. After the blow-dry, my hair became dry, frizzy at the front, straight, and no longer flexible for styling. Charlotte continued to complain about the lack of time and the inaccuracies in the service booking. After 40 minutes, Charlotte was still pondering what to do with my hair, indicating her struggle to understand my needs. I stood up and politely mentioned that I was leaving as it was evident she was having difficulty comprehending my requirements. If she had trouble understanding me, she could have sought assistance from you. At the reception, I asked Lily to contact you as I was dissatisfied with the service and hoped we could discuss it further. Unfortunately, I did not perceive any willingness from you to inquire about my experience at the salon. Time was wasted, my hair was left straight and dry, and I ended up feeling frustrated knowing I had to quickly restyle my hair at home before heading to the event. Having worked as a demo model for many years with top professionals in the UK, I can recognize good skills
I visited this nearby salon due to positive experiences with stylist Oliver and numerous appointments with the fantastic nail technician Lily. The ambiance of the salon is wonderful! However, my experience with hairstyling during a pre-booked appointment for a special occasion with Charlotte on 14th December 2023 was disappointing. There was a lack of proper time management for the appointment and a failure to understand the customer's requirements. The booking was arranged by the nail technician, and the brief presence of the owner (hair specialist). The owner entrusted the decision of hairstyling to the beautician. I clearly communicated my needs for the hairstyling appointment and the importance of the two special occasions. I requested to have the stylist I had previously, but the owner recommended Charlotte, and the beautician assured me that Charlotte would deliver the desired hairstyle. The junior hairstylist lacked basic technical skills - the hair washing was done carelessly, leading to almost burning the scalp with hot air. The blow-drying was poorly executed, resulting in frizzy hair with a stiff appearance. Charlotte seemed unsure of how to begin styling and was flustered by the time constraints of the appointment. It was a waste of time and money. I walked in with better-looking hair than when I left the salon, having visited the Headmaster Salon just four days prior. I had to restyle my hair at home with limited time left. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction, the owner Emily seemed clueless about handling an unhappy customer. Her smiles and comments came across as unprofessional. She mentioned that seeing the specialist I preferred would now cost an additional £10 - this was unacceptable. It should be my decision to choose the level of specialist I wish to see and how much I am willing to spend on services. I am willing to pay a higher price for a professional stylist. Charlotte needs to improve her practical technical skills at a professional Hair academy. Emily, the salon owner, should learn to acknowledge her mistakes and value her customers.
A truly delightful salon. I had a gel manicure with Alex, and I’m extremely pleased with the outcome. The attention to detail, the precision in applying the colour - everything was flawless. When I envision a “British manicure”, this is what comes to mind - my hands looked regal afterward. Every individual at the salon was warm and made me feel completely at ease. I wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely be returning 🥰
