I have my prescriptions sent electronically to this pharmacy in the UK, expecting a text when it's ready. However, the system is unreliable, leading to delays and running out of medication due to assumptions it's not ready. The medication dispensed is supposedly double-checked, but errors like giving peppermint gaviscon instead of aniseed raise concerns, especially for allergic customers. Today, upon collecting my prescription checked by two staff, I discovered one item missing, causing inconvenience. The staff seem indifferent to the growing queue of frustrated customers, showing no urgency in serving. I endured a 35-minute wait today to collect a prescription due to a customer indecisive about face cream, making it a frustrating experience. Fortunately, this visit marks my final time at this place.
Appreciated the presence of staffed tills in the main shop - please maintain them! Scanning my own shopping without any discount, losing human interaction, and potentially costing jobs is not appealing. The pharmacy section consistently offers friendly and helpful service, despite facing challenging customers. Their polite attitude towards me, regardless of prior interactions, is commendable.
Visited Boots in the UK to collect five prescriptions today. Despite receiving a text on 29/09/23 stating they were ready, I waited seven more days, only to find three ready and two missing. Waiting an hour and a half for one and having to return for the other was exasperating. Seeing others come in, collect, and leave while I waited added to the frustration. Staff responses of "being checked" or "being bagged up" felt like unnecessary delays. Waiting this long to bag some tablets is unreasonable; it shouldn't take longer than my weekly shopping. Very disappointed with the poor service.
