I am dissatisfied with the Christmas facial package I received. Following the ultra lift radio frequency and LED mask treatments, I developed dark spots on my cheek. A skin test should have been conducted before the procedures. When I inquired with the attending staff, I was told it was unnecessary and not a cause for concern. My left cheek was slightly swollen two weeks after the radio frequency treatment.

My experience was quite distressing as I only had a few hairs to treat. Despite this, I decided to opt for laser treatment, and the practitioner kindly included additional areas at no extra cost, which pleased me. During the first session, the area was shaved for the first time, and I could feel the hair follicles burning. I received about 10 reminder messages leading up to the first session. However, for the second appointment, I did not receive any messages. The session was completed in 50% less time than the first, and I barely felt the laser, or felt it only slightly. I could observe the procedure, and it seemed like the practitioner was swiftly moving the device without much impact on the hair. When I expressed my concerns, I was told that I might not feel as much due to having fewer hairs this time. It's worth noting that during my initial visit, they mentioned I might need 8 or more sessions. After the second session, I decided not to continue further as I felt the second session was not performed effectively and would not yield results. As expected, after two sessions, instead of the claimed 30-60% reduction in hair, the area had even more hair than before, likely due to the shaving stimulating the growth of previously barely visible hairs. From my experience, I have drawn several conclusions: - Avoid falling for deals like £99 per session with one area free or 3-in-1 offers. Negotiate for a complete treatment guaranteeing 100% hair removal (or at least 90%). If they are confident in their treatment, they should agree. However, it's unlikely any laser centre would agree to this. - Refrain from paying the full amount upfront to avoid being locked into potentially lengthy treatment plans. Pay per session, assess the results, and proceed accordingly to ensure each session is conducted thoroughly. - Allow for longer intervals between treatments to permit hair growth. In the current landscape, it's challenging to discern whom to trust. I now have more visible hair than before, regretting the shaving and laser therapy. I question the logic behind the practitioner's statement during the second session and wonder if others share my sentiments about their services.
