Arrived early on a Saturday hoping for an available slot and was delighted to be seated immediately. With my long, thick hair of Asian descent, it's challenging to get a good cut without it looking choppy. I was charged extra due to my hair length, making it £30 for a dry cut. Despite the cost, the result was lovely, especially since I hadn't cut my hair in three years. I might consider returning. Another fantastic haircut, in a cosy and inviting setting, with the most welcoming and laid-back owner and team you could ask for. A relaxing scalp massage, choice of hot or cold towel, and delicious handcrafted coffee all included. Dogs are more than welcome. I had made an online appointment with Kay (the purported owner of the shop) and upon arrival, I was informed that he was absent. If you won't be available, you shouldn't be accepting appointments or, at the very least, you should notify your clients to avoid wasting their time. I ended up getting my hair cut by another barber since I had already paid, and he did a commendable job. The three stars are for the overall business practices and not the substitute barber.

A conveniently located salon near Piccadilly Circus. The layout is beautifully compact and comprehensive, with a wide selection of clearly displayed hair products, complemented by hair styling coffee table books and comfortable seating throughout. The colour scheme consists of soft greys, cream, bronze, and green, illuminated by gentle LED lighting. There's nothing aggressive or overly flashy about the design, yet it exudes an undeniable sense of sophistication. My welcome was warm, genuine, and a testament to the fact that all staff enjoy working here (a rarity in the hair and beauty industry!). It was quite remarkable not to have a wet neckline after my hair wash. Being short, I usually struggle with the standard salon basin seats and end up feeling a bit damp, but not this time. I had a skin test done as part of booking in as a colour model, and even that was carried out with grace, leaving no smudges on my arms. My visit was extremely pleasant, so I highly recommend paying a visit to this relatively new establishment (opened in 2018). I’m really disappointed with the service I received here. I came into the salon to simply get my hair tied up as I had an event later that day and I’ve got a disability so I can’t do it myself. For something that would’ve simply taken 5 minutes, it was made into an hour and a half’s procedure. Everything that I requested not to happen, did happen. I asked the hairdresser not to use spray as I’d just washed my hair and he used it, and it left crusty/sticky residue in my hair. We came to take my hair out later and it had been tied in a knot and was matted, it has completely wrecked the ends of my hair. He said he wanted to cut my hair and I said no, and luckily he listened to that request as all others had been ignored. I came to pay, as I was expecting to have to pay a small fee for just putting it in a ponytail. I was charged £20 for having it be put in a half up half down, something that anybody could’ve done and the hairdresser said that this “was a discount”. I spoke to friends to receive advice later that day and they said that I’d been taken advantage of because of my disability.
