A person came in 15 minutes after me and was seated before me, and her entire acrylic set was finished before I was even asked about my color preference. She was British, naturally! In total, I waited for an hour and 10 minutes with half-removed gel nails. I’m really disappointed with the service I received here. I came into the salon to simply get my hair tied up as I had an event later that day and I’ve got a disability so I can’t do it myself. For something that would’ve simply taken 5 minutes, it was made into an hour and a half’s procedure. Everything that I requested not to happen, did happen. I asked the hairdresser not to use spray as I’d just washed my hair and he used it, and it left crusty/sticky residue in my hair. We came to take my hair out later and it had been tied in a knot and was matted, it has completely wrecked the ends of my hair. He said he wanted to cut my hair and I said no, and luckily he listened to that request as all others had been ignored. I came to pay, as I was expecting to have to pay a small fee for just putting it in a ponytail. I was charged £20 for having it be put in a half up half down, something that anybody could’ve done and the hairdresser said that this “was a discount”. I spoke to friends to receive advice later that day and they said that I’d been taken advantage of because of my disability. Exceptional outcomes! I have yet to encounter a salon or service elsewhere that matches the sensation of lightness, cleanliness, and thoroughness I experience during my mani-pedi sessions at Marcela's. (A pedicure at Cotton House in Mustique came close, but that's a story for another time.) The price aligns with the quality of the treatment, as it endures. I even went on safari with my shellac nails, and they remained flawless for the entire two weeks.
The facial treatment with Anila is extraordinary. It's unfortunate that she isn't always available, making it challenging to secure an appointment with her. Nevertheless, my skin appeared plump and well-moisturised for weeks after her session. The Environ products she recommended are top-notch, albeit a bit pricey, they are definitely worth it.
Invest in excellence! I'm already scheduling my next appointment for when I'm back in London 💌About

Despite the high cost, the nails started peeling after just three days, the coats were thick, lengths were inconsistent despite my request, and some nails were filed down so short that it caused ingrown nails twice.
