Even if you are desperate, AVOID THIS NAIL SHOP at all costs!!!!!!!! This place should be shut down, and the older lady should be FIRED and removed!!!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS and steer clear!!!!!!!
I have never encountered a nail shop like this one before in the United Kingdom!!!! Firstly, there is no welcoming atmosphere when you enter the shop. It feels more like you are being sneered at. The young staff are constantly on their phones or outside smoking, even when customers are present. They do not rush to serve you, instead, they take their time and assist you when they feel like it. Meanwhile, you have the older lady/Owner moving around unhappily, slamming things and muttering about customers under her breath. For no apparent reason!! The older woman is extremely rude and abrupt. It is evident that she does not want to be there anymore, so why is she?? If you only request a full set, she makes you feel guilty for not getting a pedicure as well!! The customer service is shockingly poor. I assume the younger staff are her children or somehow related, which is why they do not challenge her about her TERRIBLE ATTITUDE and behavior.
It was my second visit to a nail shop in the United Kingdom, and I was not pleased with the service provided!! I had previously had gel nails done and wanted to have them redone. The manager placed my nails in a bowl without employing any soak-off method like using a cotton ball soaked in acetone wrapped in foil. After leaving my nails in the bowl for 2-3 minutes, the technician began using a metal stick to remove the gel!! It was quite challenging and damaging to my nails to have the gel removed with a metal stick (it felt like my nails were being dug at). When you visit a nail shop, they typically use foil to make gel removal easier. I asked the woman if they had changed their gel removal method, and she mentioned they sometimes use a bowl or foil. I believe she chose to skip using foil and was rushing to finish quickly. Despite all my complaints to the woman, there were no apologies or any other form of acknowledgment.. and she is the manager!! I strongly advise against visiting this shop and dealing with the manager who oversees the business. It was a really unpleasant experience!
