Upon arriving at the salon for my touch-up session with Amanda, I requested that she apply as many strokes as necessary to fill the gaps. She seemed annoyed when I mentioned not seeing much improvement from the first session and stated that the purpose of the second session was to address those gaps. The next day, I was dismayed to find that there was little difference and numerous gaps still present. I left a message for Amanda, but after two weeks with no response, I reached out again. Despite this, I received no reply. Feeling ignored, I visited the salon, where Amanda, busy with a client, ignored my presence. When I mentioned the gaps, she defensively claimed that I had asked for fewer strokes, which was untrue. She also incorrectly stated that microblading does not resemble hair and that makeup is still necessary post-treatment. Amanda rushed through my session, spending only 45 minutes instead of the required 1.5 hours. She misled me about the treatment to avoid admitting fault. Her behaviour was unprofessional, defensive, and rude. I have never been treated this way and would not recommend her for any service. She was polite until payment, but her attitude
I was truly looking forward to my appointment for a new treatment I had never tried before, however, it didn't go as expected. I'll let the images speak for themselves. The location was great, and the ladies were pleasant in their grey uniforms, not pushing conversation on you- which is always a plus. They were very helpful with appointments and times, using a clever system to email your appointments. Now, onto why I gave this nail place 3/5 stars. I had my nails done by the younger lady for a builder gel treatment. The nails didn't look properly done, some were chunky, and some lacked a full top coat. This kind of work usually requires practice and time to perfect, but in my case, it seemed rushed and possibly done by someone still learning. I was thinking of trying another appointment, but I think it's best to avoid it as I prefer my nails to look professional and neat, rather than chunky and uneven. I do like the idea of builder gel for my nails, but sadly, this was not a good experience. However, it seems they have regular clients who come in often for treatments like shellac and regular polish.
I arrived at the salon and inquired about availability for a shellac manicure today. The receptionist said there was an opening at 14:20 with Maritza (apologies if I misspelled her name). I also asked if they soak hands in water before cutting cuticles, to which she answered yes. When I arrived for the appointment at 14:20, the salon was closed. The receptionist showed up 5 minutes later and mentioned the nail specialist was finishing lunch and would be there soon. During the manicure, I requested my cuticles to be cut properly. However, the specialist did not soak my hands in water as I had been informed they would. She mentioned that using water could lead to fungus when applying nail polish, which was a reason I had not heard before and made me question the sanitation of their equipment. I expressed my disappointment at being misinformed by the receptionist but decided to give the dry manicure a chance. Unfortunately, during the cuticle cutting, she went too deep and cut my finger, causing it to bleed. This happened on multiple fingers, and she continued without acknowledging the issue. I had to prompt her to use antiseptic on my fingers, which she struggled to find, surprising me as accidents like this should be prepared for. After multiple cuts and bleeding, I insisted on proper sanitization. Despite the salon's high Google rating, this was one of my worst experiences. I had booked an eyelash lift for the following week, but after this incident, I will not be returning.
