I paid a visit to the salon for the first time today for a basic wash and trim. My stylist (I believe her name was Fiona) paid close attention to my requests and made sure I got the exact look I desired. She did an exceptional job and I am thrilled with my new hairstyle. I will definitely return soon for other treatments! The salon is charming. The only suggestion I have is that they could consider adding a coffee machine to enhance the comfort and luxury for their clients. I truly cannot speak highly enough of Olivia. I underwent microblading with her last year and I am extremely pleased with the outcome! Undeniably, the entire process can be very nerve-wracking as opting for such a service is a significant decision and knowing who to trust with it, but Olivia executed everything flawlessly. From my initial visit to the salon, the consultation, discussing ideas and my preferences, she truly listened and surpassed the vision I had for myself! Upon arriving at the salon for my touch-up session with Amanda, I requested that she apply as many strokes as necessary to fill the gaps. She seemed annoyed when I mentioned not seeing much improvement from the first session and stated that the purpose of the second session was to address those gaps. The next day, I was dismayed to find that there was little difference and numerous gaps still present. I left a message for Amanda, but after two weeks with no response, I reached out again. Despite this, I received no reply. Feeling ignored, I visited the salon, where Amanda, busy with a client, ignored my presence. When I mentioned the gaps, she defensively claimed that I had asked for fewer strokes, which was untrue. She also incorrectly stated that microblading does not resemble hair and that makeup is still necessary post-treatment. Amanda rushed through my session, spending only 45 minutes instead of the required 1.5 hours. She misled me about the treatment to avoid admitting fault. Her behaviour was unprofessional, defensive, and rude. I have never been treated this way and would not recommend her for any service. I recently decided to book an appointment at this salon after reading some excellent reviews on Treatwell. The salon is located within Piaf hair and beauty, downstairs. Despite being a new establishment, the staff are incredibly skilled and experienced. During my visit, I had my legs waxed and eyebrows shaped for the first time.
My appointment was with Alex, who was not only skilled but also made me feel at ease throughout the process. We shared a few jokes during the session, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

This establishment is a dreadful place to visit, and I am perplexed as to why anyone would describe the staff as friendly. In fact, they come across as rather irritable, particularly towards men who prioritize the care of their hands and feet. Despite the place often being empty, they show no interest in accommodating male clients. It's ironic how the owner glances at the clock and then agrees to attend to you when there are no other customers around. They seem to conveniently understand English only when it suits them, disregarding your preferences. Men deserve the same level of attention and service as women, in order to encourage repeat visits. The art of nail buffing should be a basic skill for any nail salon, and if verbal communication fails, gestures should suffice. Yet, they feign ignorance. I don't appreciate the overly theatrical hand and foot massages that make it seem like they're providing a luxurious experience; I can get that from a professional massage therapist. I left feeling disgusted, especially since I had to pay for an incomplete job.
