A conveniently located salon near Piccadilly Circus. The layout is beautifully compact and comprehensive, with a wide selection of clearly displayed hair products, complemented by hair styling coffee table books and comfortable seating throughout. The colour scheme consists of soft greys, cream, bronze, and green, illuminated by gentle LED lighting. There's nothing aggressive or overly flashy about the design, yet it exudes an undeniable sense of sophistication. My welcome was warm, genuine, and a testament to the fact that all staff enjoy working here (a rarity in the hair and beauty industry!). It was quite remarkable not to have a wet neckline after my hair wash. Being short, I usually struggle with the standard salon basin seats and end up feeling a bit damp, but not this time. I had a skin test done as part of booking in as a colour model, and even that was carried out with grace, leaving no smudges on my arms. My visit was extremely pleasant, so I highly recommend paying a visit to this relatively new establishment (opened in 2018). You won't be disappointed.
Visited Charlotte St for the first time yesterday. Oh my days - I can't believe I wasted so much time going elsewhere and assuming I couldn't afford a salon of this quality. If you're thinking the same, think again. I was attended to by Oliver, who listened attentively, took his time, and proved to be a fantastic stylist. I was so delighted that I was close to tears of relief. I paid the bargain price of £40, the same amount I paid in July at a local salon with good reviews, but left feeling bitterly disappointed. I will never go anywhere else, Niamh 💘
I have been visiting William Smith for around 15 years now and I am always impressed. The team is consistently kind and helpful, always making time for you. It's my little luxury to visit Edinburgh every six weeks to pamper myself, and it's definitely worth it. Emma always makes the experience enjoyable, as did Lily who is currently on maternity leave. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this salon and any of the staff.
